But Providence has refused to consider our good faith proposals . They 've been trying to stop us from participating in union activity at work , including bandana wearing . And they 've committed other unfair labor practices that undermine our ability to bargain , such as saying they wo n't bargain with us now that we 've given our ten day notice to strike , we really wish it did n't have to come to this , but we know that our patients need safer staffing levels and the only way to get that is with a fair contract and also some competitiveness to retain people . So our [REDACTED_NAME] Nurses Unit authorized a strike with a [REDACTED_NUMBER] % strike vote , and we are now moving ahead with that strike .
